I recently discovered this amazing, amazing site. On this site, Maureen podcasts public domain books 6 days a week. I can’t imagine how much time she must spend recording. For those of you who think recording is easy, take a look at this forum thread at Librivox, where readers discuss how long it takes them to make their recordings. Maureen’s recordings are definitely not perfect, and there are stumbles here and there, but hey, it’s free! She has a wonderful reading style which is a real pleasure to listen to. If I had discovered her site before I started mine, I may never have begun recording, because I wouldn’t have felt there was a need to. Her choice of books falls along similar lines to mine, and she has recorded a few works which I was contemplating doing. I highly recommend going to check out her site, but please remember to come back here
